Helen Update

I called Helen last night to see how her first radiation treatment went and was both shocked and saddened by her answer. It seems that when she got there she was told that because of the pacemaker that was installed while she was in the hospital they wouldn't be able to do radiation, but were opting for surgery instead. Her eldest son was with her and they talked it over and Helen decided that she would not have the surgery. As she said, she has no pain and what if she couldn't crochet after having brain surgery. She's a trooper.
