It's Easter

We buried Mother a week ago today.  Even typing that doesn't seem real.  My sister and I have spent countless hours going through her things and find that very depressing.  Going through 84+ years of someone's personal stuff is just awful!  It seems that she saved everything...every scrap of paper, every letter, every Christmas card, etc.  We've not made great headway, but know we'll finish at some point.  We plan to give most of her clothing to Wag The Dog.  This is our local Humane Society's thrift shop.  They should bring in some good money for them.  The silver and crystal we hope to sell along with her jewelery.  Mother left everything to our stepfather (the house and the place in the mountains), so if we are to realize anything it will be from the crystal, silver and jewelery. With the economy in the state it's in I don't know if there's much of a market for that sort of stuff or not.  Neither of us want any of it.

Spring is just beartiful this year.  Everything is now in full bloom and is breath-taking.  I spent 7 hours yesterday putting out some colorful annuals and that felt good.  All of the rain we had earlier this year really brought out the weeds, some totally unfamiliar ones, too!

I want to build some raised beds for vegetables, not sure how to go about it though.  Wish I had someone to help.
