Max

Yesterday Leah Jane had to have Max put down.  He was 15 years old and fighting kidney failure for several months.  I was with her when she buried him in her back yard and then stayed for several hours.  Many of her neighbors (including our mayor) and family came by.  She's a wreck, of course, but I feel sure that she'll be okay.  The next few weeks are going to be awful for her (she's 75), but everyone is concerned and will rally for her.
